Simply Smashed was never intended to be just a restaurant. We want to build a business rooted in our community and guided by our Islamic values — serving people well, supporting good work and using what we have to benefit others.
Simply Foundation brings that work together. These are some of the projects we are currently supporting, with more to come as we grow.
We believe there should be more to business than what it takes in.
We seek barakah in how we earn, how we serve and what we’re able to give back. Simply Foundation is one way we try to put that into practice.
What we’re working on
Education
We support an Islamic school in Bangladesh serving orphans and families in need. As the work develops, we’ll share more about the school, the people behind it and how the support is being used.
Local youth
Muslim businesses make monthly contributions to sustain Muslim Youth Network’s youth work programmes. The network develops young Muslims as individuals and future leaders, guided by faith and Islamic identity.
Community space
We make our restaurant available, free of charge, to qualifying Islamic non-profits and community initiatives that need a place to meet, organise, teach or bring people together.
Use the space
When the restaurant isn’t being used for service, we want the space to be useful. Qualifying Islamic non-profits and community organisations can request to use Simply Smashed without a venue-hire charge.
